Youth Serve Montana Scholarship

High school seniors apply for the Youth Serve Montana Scholarship. This opportunity is for Montana students who plan to attend college at a Montana Campus Compact member institution next fall.
To qualify for a scholarship, graduating seniors must have completed minimums of 50 or 100 hours of service within the last year and have a completed FAFSA application. Verification of the FAFSA will be done through the Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education. Youth Serve Montana materials, applications, and information on how to apply, can be found online at serve.mt.gov.
The deadline for the Youth Serve Montana Scholarship is January 31st, 2023.

RHM Scholarship

This year, Reach Higher Montana has doubled the money!  We are now giving out 80 - $2,000 scholarships to Montana students. We encourage students who wish to reach higher in education, career, and life to apply!

One scholarship is set aside for a student who is either participating in an ROTC program, currently serving in, or is a veteran of the US Armed Forces.  

To qualify, applicants must be:

• Montana high school seniors, or

• Montana residents who graduated from a Montana high school or approved home school program and are currently attending a Montana college or university, or

• Montana student who is either participating in an ROTC program, currently serving in, or is a veteran of the US Armed Forces, and

• Attend or will attend at least half-time and

• Have at least a 2.5 grade point average (GPA), and

• Submitted the FAFSA for the 2023-24 academic year.

Youth Serve Montana Scholarship

The Governor’s Office of Community Service, Reach Higher Montana, and Montana Campus Compact are pleased to offer $125,000 in scholarships for 2023 graduating seniors!

Up to 100 seniors will receive scholarships for completing volunteer service hours in the 12 months prior to submitting their application. Students who have completed 50 hours are eligible for a $1,000 scholarship, and students who have completed 100 hours are eligible for a $1,500 scholarship.

Gianforte Trades & Technology Scholarships

The Gianforte Trades and Technology Scholarships are available to students in Montana that are participating in certificate or 2-year degree programs across the state.  This year the Gianforte Family Foundation is giving over 200 scholarships and has increased the amount available to students.

$1,500 per semester for full-time students
$750 per semester for part-time students

These scholarships are renewable for up to four semesters or $6,000.  The application and full list of eligible programs and schools are available at AwardMontana.mus.edu.

Here's what you need to know for you to qualify:

1.    Please fill out the application

2.    Submit a one-page letter or 1,000 words or less. See application for more information.

3.    Submit the acceptance letter for their school. It can be either a 4 year school, 2 year school, trade school or certificate program.

4.    Submit 2 reference letters from non-family members.
